Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental and learning needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), then develop and implement individualised intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate these goals into the young person's daily environment, while equipping key adults with skills to support therapy objectives. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training and upskilling to staff, and maintain accurate documentation. Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care for children with complex needs. Primarily work in school settings with occasional clinic and remote opportunities. HCPC and RCOT registration with a recognised degree are essential.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
