Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental and learning needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualized intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments, while evaluating intervention effectiveness and providing training to key adults. Maintain accurate documentation and actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care for young people with complex educational and emotional barriers. Primarily work in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote-based roles.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
