Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualized intervention plans. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments and equip key adults with skills to support these goals. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training to staff, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings for coordinated care. Primarily work in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote-based roles. Requires HCPC and RCOT registration, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
