Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental or learning needs for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualized intervention plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Equip key adults with skills to support young people in achieving therapy goals while maintaining accurate documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care for children with complex needs. Primarily work in school settings with potential for clinic and remote-based opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- All successful applicants will be subject to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
