Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive developmental and learning assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualized intervention plans for children with complex educational and emotional barriers. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments and equip key adults with skills to support these goals. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training to staff, and maintain accurate documentation while participating in coordinated care meetings. Primarily work in school settings with potential for clinic and remote opportunities, reporting to a multi-disciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
