Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and develop individualized intervention plans for children with complex educational and emotional barriers. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into daily environments, while equipping key adults with skills to support these goals. Evaluate intervention effectiveness, provide training to staff, and maintain accurate documentation. Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care. Primarily work in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote roles.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
