Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive developmental and learning assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children facing complex educational and emotional barriers. Develop and implement individualised intervention plans while collaborating with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic goals into daily environments. Equip key adults with skills to support therapy outcomes and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure coordinated care and provide training to staff. Work primarily in school settings with opportunities for clinic and remote-based roles. Requires HCPC registration and a recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC and RCOT registration
- Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Paediatric occupational therapy experience
- Experience working within a specialist paediatric setting
- Experience working within school settings
- Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans
- Specialist CPD and/or training
- Trauma-Informed care experience
- Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs
