Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed to join an Adult Social Care service on a locum basis. Responsibilities include carrying out functional assessments for adults with physical disabilities, prescribing equipment to promote safe moving and handling and independence, making recommendations for home adaptations, collaborating with physiotherapists, social workers and external partners, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, prioritising caseloads, and contributing to safeguarding and risk assessments. The role offers hybrid working with community visits and remote reporting, and long-term contract potential. Must be HCPC-registered and experienced in community OT practice; knowledge of moving & handling, equipment prescription, and adaptations is essential.
Required Qualifications
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience in community OT practice
- Strong knowledge of moving & handling, equipment prescription, and adaptations
- Ability to complete clinical recording and reporting to high standards
- Car driver desirable but not essential
