Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients, providing individualized therapy sessions to target each child's specific goals. Collaborate with caregivers and families to ensure carryover of learned skills into daily life, while maintaining accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and outcomes. Engage in discharge planning and provide caregiver education to support continued success post-treatment. Valid Alabama state license required, with OTR/L preferred. Flexible schedules available for full-time or part-time roles, including productivity bonuses and continuing education support. Mentorship program supports new graduates.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Alabama
- OTR/L
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, teachers and colleagues
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility in adapting to various therapy scenarios
- Humor, and the ability to adapt quickly during therapy sessions
