Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, directing patient participation in tasks that restore performance and correct pathology. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, develop treatment goals, and implement therapeutic techniques for cognitive skills, mobility, and activities of daily living. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students while adapting plans of care based on individual patient needs. Design and apply adaptive devices, instruct patients in functional skills, and ensure safe environments by enforcing hazard elimination. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing, assisted living, and home-based settings. Earn between $55.00 and $70.00 per hour with full-time role security and visa sponsorship support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
