Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs nationwide for 13-week assignments, directing patient participation to restore and enhance functional performance. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, design treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques targeting cognitive skills, mobility, and activities of daily living. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while adapting care plans based on individual patient needs. Ensure adherence to established plans of care, timely documentation, and safety standards across skilled nursing, assisted living, and home-based settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
