Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs nationwide for 13-week assignments, directing patient participation to restore functional performance and correct pathology. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, design treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques addressing cognitive skills, mobility, balance, and activities of daily living. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while adapting care plans based on individual needs. Ensure patient safety, order supplies, maintain equipment, and document all services within established plans of care. Make referrals to other disciplines and contribute to staffing conferences. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
