Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs nationwide for 13-week assignments, directing patient participation to restore functional performance and adapt treatment plans to individual needs. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, develop therapeutic goals, and implement interventions addressing cognitive, motor, and daily living skills. Supervise OT assistants, students, and support personnel while ensuring adherence to plans of care, timely documentation, and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to make referrals and select appropriate therapeutic regimens, designing and fabricating adaptive devices as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
