Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs nationwide for 13-week assignments, directing patient participation to restore functional performance and adapt treatment plans based on individual needs. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, design therapeutic regimens covering cognitive skills, mobility, and adaptive device training, while supervising therapy assistants and supporting personnel. Contribute to patient care conferences, make interdisciplinary referrals, and ensure safety by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment. Ensure timely documentation and adherence to established plans of care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
