Job Summary
Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs nationwide for 13-week assignments, directing patient participation to restore performance and correct pathology. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, develop treatment goals, and implement therapeutic techniques across cognitive, motor, and functional areas. Supervise OTAs, students, and support personnel while adapting plans of care and selecting appropriate adaptive devices. Ensure safe environments, order supplies, and maintain equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, attend care conferences, and provide comprehensive documentation. Work in skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, or home settings with full-time role security and travel flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
