Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (Journey Traveler) needed to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across varied settings. Responsibilities include organizing and delivering occupational therapy programs, directing patient participation to restore and enhance function, supervising OT Assistants and learners per licensure requirements, ensuring efficient delivery of rehab services, documenting services, attending care conferences, coordinating with rehabilitation team, adapting plans to patient needs, and promoting safety. Services cover cognitive skills, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, perceptual and sensory abilities, ADLs, balance, work simplification, and design/fit of adaptive devices (orthotics/prosthetics). Requires designing treatment goals, instructing patients, re-evaluating progress, and performing related duties. Qualifications include ACOTE-accredited bachelor’s degree in OT, initial NBCOT registration, valid OT license, and ability to travel and reside off-site as needed. Posted salary range USD 55.00–70.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE standards
- Initial registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Occupational therapy license valid in state of practice
- Willingness to travel and reside temporarily outside primary home for assignments
