Job Summary
Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler must travel nationwide on 13-week assignments, providing OT services across multiple settings. Responsibilities include planning and delivering OT programs, directing patient participation to restore and enhance function, supervising OT Assistants and students, ensuring timely documentation, collaborating with the rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens, adapting plans of care to patient needs, maintaining safety and equipment, and evaluating progress with goals in activities of daily living, mobility, cognitive and perceptual skills, and other functional domains. Includes designing/adapting adaptive devices (orthotics/prosthetics), coordinating referrals, and contributing to patient care conferences. Requires ACOTE-accredited degree, NBCOT registration, and state licensure, plus willingness to travel and reside outside primary home. Posted salary range: $55.00-$70.00/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- Available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of therapist's primary home
