Job Summary
Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler travels nationwide for 13-week assignments, organizing and conducting occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. They supervise OT personnel as needed, deliver rehab services per plan of care, collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapy regimens, adapt plans to patient needs, promote safety, order supplies, and ensure thorough documentation. The role covers a wide range of OT domains including cognitive skills, muscle strength, endurance, mobility, dexterity, ADLs, orthotics/prosthetics training, and activities designed to improve functional independence; requires supervision, travel, and ability to work across diverse settings nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program
- Initial registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid, unencumbered state OT license
- Willingness to travel and relocate/temporarily reside outside primary home for assignments
