Job Summary
Occupational Therapist – Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments and work across various settings. Responsibilities include organizing and conducting OT programs to facilitate rehabilitation, directing patient participation to restore and enhance performance, supervising OT Assistants and students as appropriate, delivering rehab services per plan of care, documenting services, attending care conferences, collaborating with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate regimens, adapting plans as needed, ensuring safety, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, providing high-quality compassionate care, evaluating patients to establish diagnoses and treatment goals, and designing and delivering adaptive activities and devices (including orthotics/prosthetics) as part of functional rehabilitation. Qualifications include ACOTE-accredited OT degree, initial NBCOT registration, state OT license, and willingness to travel to locations outside the therapist’s primary home. The posted salary range is USD $55.00 - USD $70.00 per hour, with visa sponsorship and relocation support available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy (ACOTE-accredited)
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid and unencumbered OT license in the state of practice
- Ability to travel and reside temporarily in locations outside primary home
