Job Summary
Provide evaluations to determine patient needs, goals, and functional capabilities; develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving independence, safety, and performance in daily activities; implement therapeutic interventions addressing ADLs, IADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and functional mobility; supervise and mentor COTAs and guide their contributions to patient treatment plans; document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries; collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care; educate patients and families on strategies, home programs, and safety practices to support ongoing progress; participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives; engage in professional development; rural hospital setting in Gordon, Nebraska.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated graduation)
- Current Nebraska OT license or eligibility upon graduation
- Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes
- Experience in rural healthcare or interest in serving rural communities
- Willingness to supervise and collaborate with COTAs
- Strong documentation and time-management skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team
