Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed to provide both outpatient and inpatient care in a rural hospital setting in Sundance, WY. Responsibilities include evaluations to determine patient needs and goals, developing individualized treatment plans to improve independence and daily function, implementing interventions addressing ADLs/IADLs, strength, coordination, cognition, and functional mobility, fabricating or recommending adaptive equipment with training for patients and caregivers, documenting evaluations and progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, supervising and mentoring COTAs, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions, educating patients and families on strategies and home programs, and participating in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (or anticipated graduation)
- Current Wyoming OT license or eligibility upon graduation
- Strong clinical reasoning and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and functional outcomes
- Experience in rural healthcare or interest in serving rural communities
- Comfort supervising and collaborating with COTAs
- Strong documentation and time-management skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team
