Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations, reevaluations, treatment planning, and discharge planning for referred patients while providing evidence-based care and education to patients and families. Deliver comprehensive documentation including clinical interventions, equipment recommendations, and conference reports in adherence to accreditation guidelines and hospital policies. Participate in staff meetings, process improvement initiatives, and peer reviews to optimize service area functioning. Serve as a resource and preceptor for new employees and students, assisting in the development of treatment guidelines and program objectives. Maintain accurate patient schedules and complete outcome data according to departmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy
- Demonstrated independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- DC (District of Columbia) licensure or eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
