Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations, reevaluations, treatment planning, and discharge planning for referred patients while adhering to accreditation guidelines and professional standards. Provide evidence-based care including DME recommendations, patient education, and training for families and caregivers. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interventions, charges, prescriptions, and outcome data per department policies. Actively participate in staff meetings, process improvement initiatives, and peer reviews to optimize service area functioning. Serve as a resource and preceptor for new employees, students, and volunteers while pursuing continuing education for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy
- Demonstrated independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- May be developing advanced level competencies in one or more aspects of occupational therapy
- DC (District of Columbia) licensure or eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
