Job Summary

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, treatments, and care plan development for patients with injuries, diseases, and disabilities. Screen, test, diagnose, and educate patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. Manage patient care supervision, including oversight of assistants, aides, and students, and ensure accurate documentation and billing compliance. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings to optimize clinical outcomes and department goals. Maintain current licensure, BLS certification, and proficiency with complex equipment and patient transfer protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapist license in states where you work.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
