Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and implement care for patients using Clinical Practice Guidelines and Essentia Health policies. Manage full caseloads including documentation, billing, scheduling, and discharge planning while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and physicians to optimize clinical and financial outcomes. Provide patient and caregiver education, supervise support staff, and flex to other departments when patient needs are highest. Participate in physician-led meetings, complete Medicare outcome assessments, and potentially serve as a clinical instructor. Requires current state licensure, a master's or doctorate degree, and weekend availability (minimum 4 Saturdays/year). No call obligation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree,Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
- Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
- Work where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows
- Weekend (Saturday) requirement - minimum 4x/year

- May serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient care
