Job Summary
Occupational Therapist in an industrial setting responsible for conducting assessments (physical, cognitive and mental health) and delivering treatment to employees to enhance health, function, and return-to-work outcomes. Performs workplace assessments and job demands analyses, makes accommodations recommendations, collaborates with healthcare teams on employee health and wellness programs, provides hand therapy tasks (splinting, wrist supports, hand guards), completes Functional Abilities Evaluations and work-hardening programs, conducts cognitive and psychoemotional assessments, and documents in electronic charting systems while liaising with other departments to support occupational health accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registered, and in good standing, with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Experience with repetitive strain injuries to the hands, arms, shoulders and back is an asset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management skills
