Job Summary
Occupational Therapist to provide OT services for the treatment of physical and psychological dysfunctions at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Responsibilities include direct patient care using sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational, and social activities to help patients regain functioning, and supervision of occupational therapy assistants, support personnel, and students. Requires a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy, Indiana state licensure, and BLS certification; NBCOT is preferred. Shift is Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month; 6 months of acute care experience preferred or new grads with acute care fieldwork. Strong attention to detail, bedside manners, and adaptability to a fast-paced setting are desirable. Benefits include PTO, 401k match, and other programs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Indiana State Occupational Therapy license
- NBCOT certification (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Experience: 6 months of acute care experience preferred; new grads with acute care fieldwork eligible for consideration
- Ability to supervise occupational therapy assistants, support personnel and students
- Strong attention to detail; excellent bedside manner; adaptability to fast-paced settings
