Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients across inpatient, outpatient, behavioral health, and long-term care settings to improve functional independence. Develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and discharge planning, and document evaluations and billing accurately. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and recommend equipment. Fabricate splints and adaptive devices as needed, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and interns, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Hawaii licensure, NBCOT certification, and BLS within one month.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Hawaii
- Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
