Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy specialized care services for patients admitted in the ICU, assisting them to reach the highest level of functional independence. Conduct evaluations, modalities, and treatments for complex patient populations including LVAD, IABP, ECMO, and Heart Transplant recipients. Evaluate and manage care for patients treated by certified occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers. Requires current Georgia licensure, BLS certification, and a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a BS, MS, or OTD
- Must maintain current CEU's as required by the State
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Georgia
- BLS required
- Successful completion of the ICU orientation within 1 year of hire
- Must be able to evaluate data and make independent decisions
- Two years of previous healthcare experience as an Occupational therapist
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with research and analysis of data preferred
