Job Summary
Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer occupational therapy modalities as prescribed by a physician to assist patients in reaching maximum performance. Complete timely, accurate documentation following Sharp HealthCare guidelines and third-party payor requirements. Participate in departmental goals, CQI activities, chart reviews, and interdisciplinary rounds to ensure cost-effective, appropriate patient care. Collaborate with leadership on clinical projects and case managers for discharge transitions. Maintain departmental cleanliness and safety while adjusting to unscheduled situations and productivity standards. This per diem role supports the San Diego County NICU and general therapy units, offering flexible 8-hour shifts with weekend availability as needed.
Required Qualifications
- California Occupational Therapist license - CA Board of Occupational Therapy
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
- CCS Paneling
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy
