Job Summary
Conduct patient evaluations, treatment, and education in accordance with established standards of care and practice. Independently select and perform therapeutic techniques consistent with patient problems and medical status while monitoring COTA activities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to set realistic, measurable goals and provide patient/family education. Adhere to documentation standards, insurance guidelines, and Medicare requirements. Manage time effectively to complete assignments and accept coverage in other rehab areas. After one year of experience, supervise student therapists and rehabilitation aides.
Required Qualifications
- Supervisory responsibilities: After one year of experience, may act as a student supervisor.
- Demonstrates knowledge about equipment/materials utilized in patient care per supervisor's observation and chart documentation.
- Demonstrates good time management as evidenced by completing work assignments on time, readily accepting assignments and consistently striving to be a productive member of the institution and always puts time to good use.
- Demonstrates willingness to provide coverage in other rehab areas.
