Job Summary
Evaluate patient functional status and home environments to identify equipment needs and barriers to independent living. Develop treatment programs, establish goals, and communicate plans to physicians and care teams. Teach new skills, retrain patients in daily activities, and instruct families on treatment regimens. Fabricate splints, instruct on adaptive equipment, and train patients in prosthetic or orthotic device use. Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants and home health aides, and participate in discharge planning and case conferences. Maintain clinical records and reports to physicians. Full-time position in Colorado Springs with a supportive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills
- Possess and maintains current CPR Certification
- Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements
- Reliably commute (Required)
- Occupational Therapist License (Required)
