Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed at Riverside Health System in Newport News, VA. Provide individualized OT services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, performing evaluations, determining OT diagnoses, developing and implementing care plans, and executing OT procedures to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability. Follow and adjust treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards; document progress for evaluation, billing, and reporting. Advise on adaptive equipment to assist with daily activities and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care. Roles include participating in team meetings, training staff and students, and ensuring discharge criteria are met. Requires OT licensure in Virginia, NBCOT certification, and CPR/BLS within 30 days; education may be a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy; 1 year of OT experience preferred.

- Experience: 1 year Occupational Therapy (Preferred)
- Licenses and Certifications: License Occupational Therapy (OT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and License Occupational Therapy (OTR) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Inc (NBCOT) Upon Hire(Required) and CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
