Job Summary
Conduct weekly evaluations and therapy sessions for young children with developmental delays between 0-3 years old. Complete intake paperwork, assessments, and treatment plans while assisting in Individual Family Service Plan development. Schedule and lead home visits to carry out treatment goals, maintaining ongoing communication with families and the interdisciplinary team. Prepare educational files, case notes, and documentation from external agencies while researching family needs and providing resources. Travel throughout San Diego and Imperial counties to deliver services in family homes and community locations.
Required Qualifications
- A Current Occupational Therapy license from the State of California Occupational Therapy Board (CBOT)
- Master's degree in occupational therapy from a program approved by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT)
- Minimum one (1) year OT experience
- Minimum one (1) year pediatrics experience (birth to 5 years of age)
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire
- Must receive criminal record clearance from DOJ
- Must have valid California Driver's license, safe driving record, and have been licensed to drive at least 2 years
- Must maintain current and adequate auto insurance
- Must obtain CPR/FA certification if not already certified
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Collaborative-minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to form positive, supportive, and professional working relationships
- Detail-oriented with ability to ensure accuracy of program documents and paperwork
- Ability to manage work time efficiently and meet deadlines without close supervision
- Ability to maintain cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with differing attitudes and lifestyles
- Must be available to travel throughout assigned county (San Diego or Imperial) to complete sessions in family homes and other community locations
- Must be able to see, talk, hear, walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift objects weighing up to ten pounds repeatedly during a shift
