Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient functional status, activities of daily living, and home environments to determine occupational therapy needs. Conduct diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests, then consult with physicians to develop therapy plans of care. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to the nurse supervisor. Provide services within state laws, using evidence-based techniques in coordination with the health care team. Work independently in any home situation regardless of client demographics. Requires current Occupational Therapy licensure, driver's license, and vehicle access.
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Good communication, writing, and organizational skills
