Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, then develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's goals. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic activities designed to improve daily living skills and overall functionality, while collaborating with speech therapists and case managers for a holistic approach. Educate patients and families about treatment options and progress, monitor outcomes to adjust plans as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with policies. Work on the road within Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Arlington, or Alexandria.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of physiology and occupational health principles
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop effective care plans that address individual patient needs
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to patient care and rehabilitation outcomes
- Occupational Therapy License (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in case management and working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies is a plus
