Job Summary
Assess and screen patients' daily living skills, administer diagnostic tests, and develop therapeutic retraining programs with measurable objectives. Provide treatment and instruction to improve strength, coordination, and function while teaching compensation measures. Confer with physicians to revise Plans of Care, consult with vocational team members, and design community reintegration activities. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides, train staff and families on retraining programs, and accurately document all care observations and interventions. Report patient progress to the physician and care management staff, participate in discharge planning, and recommend adaptive equipment for client environments.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- TB screening eligibility (required for patient-facing role)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum six months of occupational therapy experience
- Home Health experience
