Job Summary
Assess patient daily living skills, administer diagnostic tests, and develop therapeutic retraining programs with measurable objectives. Confer with physicians to revise Plans of Care, provide treatment and instruction to restore function, and consult with vocational teams to implement reintegration plans. Supervise OT Assistants and HHA performance, design adaptive equipment, and train staff on dressing, feeding, and hygiene skills. Document patient observations, interventions, and evaluations thoroughly; submit discharge summaries and interim orders to management. Report patient status and progress to the physician, clinical manager, and family members. Participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings to support patient recovery and community reintegration.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- TB screening eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum six months of occupational therapy experience
- Home Health experience
