Job Summary
Assess patient daily living and work-related skills to develop therapeutic retraining programs with measurable objectives. Administer diagnostic tests in homes to evaluate function, confer with physicians to revise Plans of Care, and provide instruction to restore strength and coordination. Review retraining programs against behavioral goals, consult on vocational plans, and design community reintegration activities. Recommend adaptive equipment, train family members on hygiene skills, and supervise OT Assistants and Home Health Aides. Document care observations, implement interim orders, and submit evaluations and discharge summaries. Report patient status to the physician and clinical staff.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Home Health experience a plus
