Job Summary
Assess patient daily living and work-related skills to develop therapeutic retraining programs with measurable objectives. Administer diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate patient function, then confer with physicians to participate in Plan of Care development and revision. Provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to improve strength, coordination, and range-of-motion, while reviewing and expanding retraining programs based on behavioral goals. Consult with vocational team members to implement vocationally oriented plans, design community reintegration activities, and recommend adaptive equipment for residence or working environments. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides, train staff and family members on self-care skills, and accurately document all care observations, interventions, and evaluations. Report patient status to the physician and care management staff, and coordinate discharge planning activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- TB screening eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum six months of occupational therapy experience
- Home Health experience
