Job Summary
Assess patients' daily living skills, develop therapeutic retraining programs, and administer diagnostic tests to evaluate function and restore strength, mobility, and independence. Confer with physicians to revise treatment plans, provide instruction on compensation measures, and design adaptive equipment for home environments. Coordinate discharge planning, train staff and family members on hygiene and grooming skills, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides. Document all care observations, interventions, and evaluations accurately while reporting progress to the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Home Health experience a plus
