Job Summary
Conduct home health visits to adult and geriatric patients in senior living communities throughout Oakton/Fairfax, VA. Perform thorough functional evaluations including muscle function, endurance, and ADL performance to assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects. Develop individualized intervention plans, evaluate home environments for safety hazards, and identify equipment needs for enhanced client outcomes. Continually revise care plans, educate patients and families on rehabilitative activities, and accurately document all observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet. Requires a current VA Occupational Therapist license, one year of recent OT experience, and ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- A current VA Occupational Therapist license
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills

- Solid computer skills
