Job Summary
Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories in senior living communities throughout Colonial Heights, VA. Perform thorough evaluations of patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, and ADL and IADL performance. Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance to develop individualized intervention plans. Evaluate home environments for hazards and identify equipment needs to enhance client outcomes. Continually assess and revise care plans while educating patients and families on rehabilitative care. Accurately document observations and interventions using a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet. Requires a current VA Occupational Therapist license, one year of recent OT experience, and graduation from an accredited program. Base pay ranges from $68.00 to $72.00 per point.
Required Qualifications
- A current VA Occupational Therapist license
- A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
