Occupational Therapist – Home & Community Care

Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop treatment plans for children from birth to age 18 in homes, schools, and the Development & Rehabilitation department across Eastern Ontario. Provide direct treatment, support, and teaching to caregivers and school personnel while participating in case conferences and team meetings. Complete reassessments to monitor progress, manage assistive device prescriptions, and maintain accurate patient records. Maintain professional knowledge and attend staff meetings as required. Valid driver's license and bilingualism (English/French) are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Graduate from an accredited university program in Occupational Therapy
- Registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (C.O.T.O.)
- Communicates effectively, orally and in writing
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work inter-professionally
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfort level and skill in preparing and facilitating therapeutic groups
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Bilingualism (English and French)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in pediatrics
- Related experience in a community-based setting
- Authorizer for the Assistive Devices Program of Ontario for the prescription of mobility devices
- Current CPR-C certificate
