Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment for assigned patients to help them reach maximum performance levels within community limits. Provide consultation on environmental design, adaptive equipment, and patient positioning to prevent contractures. Instruct patients in adapted techniques for meal preparation, home management, and dressing, while training those with upper-extremity prosthetics to resume daily routines. Administer sensor-motor integration treatments, visual perceptual-motor remediation programs, and individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients. Design and fabricate splints and adaptive equipment per medical prescriptions. Requires a Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing and a Bachelor's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing with DORA
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
