Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment for assigned patients to help them reach maximum performance levels and function independently within their capabilities. Provide consultation on environmental design, adaptive equipment, and patient positioning to prevent contractures. Instruct patients in adapted techniques for meal preparation, dressing, feeding, and other self-care skills, including training on upper-extremity prosthetic devices. Administer sensor-motor integration treatment and visual perceptual-motor remediation programs to increase developmental levels. Design and fabricate splints, slings, and adaptive equipment per medical prescriptions. Deliver individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients. Requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and a current Colorado license in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing with DORA
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
