Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment for assigned patients to help them reach maximum performance levels and function independently within their community. Provide consultation on environmental design, adaptive equipment, and patient positioning to prevent contractures, while instructing individuals in self-care skills for meal preparation, dressing, and feeding. Design and fabricate splints, slings, and adaptive equipment per medical prescriptions, and administer sensor-motor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation programs. Train patients on upper-extremity prosthetic devices to resume daily routines and increase developmental levels through individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients. Requires a Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing and a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist License in good standing with DORA
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to use tools used to make adaptive equipment
