Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations, including interviews, observations, and specialized assessments like goniometry and muscle strength testing, to determine habilitation and rehabilitation needs. Independently implement and document plans of care for patients with routine to complex problems, utilizing therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, and adaptive equipment recommendations. Establish visit schedules, organize patient assignments, and communicate respectfully with patients, families, physicians, and the health team to facilitate continuity of care. Submit admission records within 48 hours and daily records within 24 hours while maintaining caseload mix and productivity. Participate in case conferences, community outreach efforts, and educational programs. Requires ACOTE-accredited OT degree, 1-2 years clinical experience, and a valid state driver's license. Salary ranges from $74,214 to $134,596 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited educational program in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Board of OT.
- 1-2 years clinical experience.
- Registered License to practice Occupational Therapy in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s).
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
- Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation.
