Job Summary
Provide skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the physician's plan of care and assist in evaluation and development of the plan of care. Design orthotics as indicated; treat clients via therapeutic activities to restore function and promote independence; observe and report changes; educate client, family, and staff on exercise programs to improve strength and self-care; cooperate with staff for education; teach alternate techniques for ADLs, transfers, and positioning; order/fabricate adaptive devices; reevaluate care needs and ensure the plan addresses identified problems; initiate appropriate diagnostic, preventive, and rehabilitative procedures and make referrals as indicated; monitor client status and communicate changes to the care team.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or licensed in the State.
