Occupational Therapist - Hartsville Area

Provide a program of therapy to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities, employing reliable assessment procedures and standardized tests for accurate diagnosis. Assist teachers in observing and referring students with learning problems, while working with IEP teams to design activities for fine motor, self-help, and sensory skills. Deliver direct therapy in support of academic goals and consult with staff on compensatory strategies, adaptive equipment, and safety issues. Prepare thorough records including evaluation reports, IEPs, and daily progress notes. Offer in-service education and consultation to teachers, staff, and parents on occupational therapy topics. Participate in staff development activities to promote professional growth.
